While working with young clients in the Pregnancy Crisis Centre, we quickly recognised the need to present a programme in schools, in order to educate young people to the dangers of casual sexual relationships.
We now take lessons on Pregnancy and Abortion in two of the local High schools and would envisage extending this to other senior schools in Tamworth in the near future. The programme includes a PowerPoint presentation, quizzes and discussion times. "The Life Game" which shows all the stages of foetal development during pregnancy is a particular “eye-opener” to the young people and staff alike, as they are made aware of how much development has taken place before many abortions are performed.
